Nurse Delegation Diabetes Training

Nurse Delegation with a special focus on diabetes is an additional delegation class that allows caregivers in specific settings and under the supervision of a delegation nurse to administer insulin to diabetic patients.

The Nurse Delegation Core Training is a required prerequisite to taking this course though they can be both taken at the same time.

In this class, you will learn:

  • The types of diabetes and how they are different
  • How diabetes affects the patient’s body both in the short-term as well as the long-term
  • How insulin works and how to safely administer it
  • How to spot blood sugar emergencies
  • and much more

The special focus on diabetes course counts for 3 hours of continuing education. This course is available as a home study course with monitored in-person testing.
